About
Hey, folks. I'm Aaron Harker, the founder and craftsman behind Harker Leatherworks. I live in Cumming, Georgia with my two dogs, Whiskey and Jewel, the CFO (Chief Fetch Officer) and CIO (Chief Ice Officer) of Harker Leatherworks, respectively.

When I’m not at the workbench, I’m on the mats training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu or playing fingerstyle guitar. I have a veggie garden and have declared war on tomato hornworms, I’m part of the heritage clothing community online, and I love a good pair of handmade boots.
I officially started Harker Leatherworks in 2024 after quitting my retail job, but I’ve been doing leatherworking as a hobby for nine years. The bat in my branding is a nod to my history — I was once bitten by a rabid bat and with a last name like Harker (the same as Dracula's slayer) I felt obligated to go all-in. I’m known for custom branded belts featuring original artwork inspired by spaghetti westerns, Victorian-era postcards, and monsters in the margins of historical maps. I also offer guitar straps, hand-sewn wallets and other small branded items and apparel. There’s always something in the works!

My goal for Harker Leatherworks is simple: to make finely crafted goods and to connect with the people who use them. I value local partnerships, transparent supply chains and ethical business practices. My leather is sourced from the US, the UK, or Italy and I’m transitioning to hardware that’s produced here in the States. I’ve been lucky to have made some incredible relationships with other businesses — currently, I’m collaborating with The Iron Snail, have a partnership with Heritage Quality Goods, and sponsor the Stitchdown Patina Thunderdome.
